CQUniversity have undertaken a project, Caring for Carers of People with Dementia.
This project aims to provide support and information to carers of people with dementia, from regional and rural Australia.
CQU are recruiting Australia wide…you don’t need to be a carer living in Queensland to participate in this research.
At time of writing the project has commenced but recruiting will continue to occur throughout 2018 as the project concludes in May next year.
What’s involved?
Carers will meet weekly by group videoconference from their homes for learning and chat sessions, led by an experienced facilitator.
The chat groups will take place between April 2018 and May 2019.
You are invited to attend a program of 6 meetings by group videoconference, over 6 weeks.
Participants will need either a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet.
You will be asked to share your experiences and opinions of being a carer for a person with dementia.
Participating in research is an excellent way to have your voice heard, enhancing awareness and providing evidence that will potentially influence resource development and future models of care.
